Towards European Policies & Best Practices for Supporting Local Governance Multilevel Application

TESLA Network ("Towards European Policies & Best Practices for Supporting Local Governance Multilevel Application") is devoted to reinforce European citizen participation in local and regional areas and by using the Multilevel Governance approach as a common framework and as it was approved by Committe of Regions (CoR) in 20/2/2014 and based in white papers in the field approved by CoR in 2009.
This aim will be reflected in the production of a set of good practices which will emerge from a joint reflection about fruitful experiences in the field developed in a range of 7 European cities in Spain, FYROM, Portugal, Cyprus, Romania, Estonia and Italy, with direct participation of experts and practitioners.
Specific interest for TESLA is the interchange of outcomes from Multilevel Local Governance experiences in European small size and rural communities. It wil will be accomplished with a joint review of a range of partners case studies linked with development of tourism and culture EU policies in the framework of local multilevel governance, social dialogue experiences in international cooperation and with neighbor countries, local and European social dialogue initiatives focused to develop participation approaches among public bodies and social and economic agents, how to produce a consensus and an effective workplan to promote employment, how to do the engagement with European policies and how to transfer local voice to European institutions (and vice versa), how to guide implementation of Multilevel Governance approach in rural areas, hosting and accompanying measures for local social dialogue and transfer of recommendations to National and European Municipalities networks.
